Public Involvement Plan

The Public Involvement Plan (PIP) is a document filed by The Narragansett Electric Company with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM). It explains how The Narragansett Electric Company will meet its requirements to communicate with the community and receive input from the public as the project moves through its various phases. The PIP is a living document and can be amended to reflect additional issues or challenges that may arise during the site cleanup process.

Following a period of public comment and input, The Narragansett Electric Company submitted to RIDEM in October 2013 a finalized Public Involvement Plan (PIP) for the Tidewater Environmental Project. Click here to read the final PIP.
